Mini Merxes 2: Ducks in a Tunnel

Reason #8 Shannon is the favorite- She invented the COOLEST CABIN GAME EVER!!!! Ducks in a Tunnel. She and Owen would sit across from each other and one would make a tunnel while the other one shot the little plastic duck through the tunnel. The tunnel could be anywhere... even over their heads, but there were rules (I'm just not sure what they were!)

Here's an action shot of Grandma playing with them. It was a hit, but it was really only a hit when Shannon played. They played it over and over for the entire week we were there!

While Owen was playing games Ellika was watching Tangled. Wow, we saw that A LOT while we were gone. I'm pretty sure she has the entire thing memorized. I know I do!

Clearly down by the water was a great place to play.

Reason #9- Shannon would follow instructions (a.k.a orders!) when playing with Owen and dig up sand over and over again for him to dump off the dock.

It's always good to have a project when you are at the cabin. This trip it was to stain the observation deck. It looked really good when it was all done.

When not playing outside, these foam squares provided lots of entertainment as well. They each had their own little house to play in or the layed them out around the house and made a path to run on.

Shannon met all her goals at Merx Wake Boarding School. She got up, crossed the wake, and learned to jump. Next time it will be to get air when she jumps!!
