Watch out for those East Germans!

Our house had this nice play set in the yard.  There was a teeter-totter, swing set, and sand box.  We didn't spend a lot of time there but played outside on a couple occasions.  There was also a washer and dryer on site which was extremely helpful!

The Island has three "big" cities on it.  Our house was in the middle in the town of Vitte.  The lighthouse was in the town of Kloster and this day we decided to head to Neuendorf.  The weather was a bit colder in the morning with a little bit of rain, but not too bad.  We stopped off to see the beach here, but it was windy (which is why Ellie's covering her ears) and too chilly to stay.
I liked my girl bike.

The sun did come out in the afternoon, so we went to the beach for a couple hours.  I think we were there during "nudist hour" though!  This is why you have to watch our for the East Germans!!!  They are much more at one with their bodies than we are.  Thankfully the kids didn't notice or say anything about it until the last day.
They loved being on the beach and hardly needed us at all.
I had no problem just sitting and relaxing in the sun with the waves in the background and my children happily entertaining themselves, but Brian on the other hand, needed to be doing something.  So he and the kids collected rocks for his rock tower.  Funny.
He did relax a little bit though.

As turned into our routine.  We went home, showered off, had dinner and then took a walk eating ice cream.  We walked down the bike path along the beach.  It was really pretty.

And it was so nice to just let our kids run and explore without having to worry about them getting hit by a car!  We just had to remind then to stay out of the way of the bikes... a lot.
 "Our" side of the Island.

The white house at the end on the right was our house.

Looks like you guys are having a blast there. ( I think I see some naked bums in one of those photos!)
