Before we met Owen for the picnic, Ellika and I went into the school office to get her school uniform for next year. She doesn't get to wear the whole uniform like Owen until the following year, but she'll still be pretty cute in her sports kit.
A school tradition is to have a Teddy Bear Picnic the last week of school where I think the youngest three years get to bring a teddy bear to school and then meet their parents for a picnic and then play on the big lawn for the afternoon. Owen was excited to bring his little bear, Merxie (who we almost couldn't find that morning... would have been tragic!)

After they ate, the kids played soccer and had races. Miss Keen, Owen's teacher, even joined in on the race.

On the ONE day that it is HOT, I wore black pants and didn't have nearly enough water with me. After school we immediately went to buy the largest bottle of cold water we could find!!
