One of my friends had the wonderful idea to get a babysitter for all our kids while we went to lunch and celebrated Emily and Heather's birthdays. It was so nice to not have to worry about kids running all over the place and to just enjoy each other's company. We ended up getting two babysitters since there were 18 kids under the age of 8! We were only gone about an hour and a half but I think those girls deserved every penny they got! This is Summer and Emily (one of the birthday girls)

We also decided to get a babysitter on a Friday night and take some adult friends out on the boat. I guess it's good for parents to have friends too!! Emily and Riley

Have I mentioned the "Ford Lake Flu" before? If not, the lake we go to is Ford Lake and it has a certain effect on some people. Runny nose, congestion, headache, that sort of thing. I have experienced a little of it but not bad. Brian however gets sick EVERY time we go. So this year he decided to get nose plugs (Ryan and Michelle came up with the brilliant idea a couple years ago). Nose plugs are great except when you crash. Because when you crash, off they go and the $3 you paid for them. So here is Brian's solution to that little problem! Works like a charm. Haven't lost a pair since!!
