Before we headed West for Christmas vacation, Rachie surprised the kids with a trip to Build-A-Bear for their Christmas presents. Owen was super excited and Ellika had just woken up from a 15 min. nap in the car and was a little less enthusiastic than normal.
It is such a fun place! They both picked out their bears and put in the hearts, after giving it a kiss of course!
Then it was time to stuff some life into it.
Here is Owen's bear while Ellie's is being stuffed (she wanted no part in stuffing!)
Then it was time to give their bears a bath, pick out their clothes (U of M football outfit for Owens and a U of M cheerleader for Ellie), give them a name and take them home. I realize now that I neglected to take a picture of the finished products, but no doubt I will remedy that situation soon and post it tomorrow!! My favorite part was naming them. Of course Rachie helped.... so Owen's bear is Bo Schembechler Merx (U of M famous Football coach) and Ellika's is Anna Arbor Merx. The kids affectionately call them Bo and Anna and LOVE to hear made up stories about them. Sooooo cute!! Thanks Rach!!!
