Days 2 and 3 of Shannon's Visit

On Day 2 of Aunt Shannon's visit we headed to Dearborn for the Rouge Factory Tour.  I hadn't been for a couple years.  I forgot how fun it was.  Both kids got a little nervous in the Interactive Movie part but they had a good time watching the trucks be built.
Of course Ellika didn't love to be in the stroller.  Man that girl is stubborn!!
Day 3 we headed downtown Detroit (really downtown for a minute when my GPS sent us into a scary neighborhood!) to the GM Center and the Riverwalk.  We started with a tour of the GM building, the same thing I took my parent too last month. And then walked along the riverfront.  It was a nice hot day, so it was really fun.
This is the Detroit River and on the other side is Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
We brought along our own little picnic.
And my kids were excited to see the carousel but didn't have a big desire to ride it so we saved ourselves 2 bucks and kept on walking!
They did of course like the water!  And this is just a precursor of what was to come...
Shannon outside the GM Center.  It is huge!!!
The Riverwalk Fountains.  I think the best place downtown for kids!!!  We stayed here forever and both kids LOVED it!!!

And  of course were TOTALLY soaked at the end!!!!
We also stopped off at Shatilla Bakery in Dearborn for some fine Middle Eastern and French desserts.  Yummy! (That was on Day 2)
